The 27 by 24 foot rear wing becomes a studio apartment with its own front door. The kitchen sits on the existing plumbing wall, and the bathroom is just through the passage, so no new drain lines run into the wing.

A self-contained studio: kitchen on the existing plumbing wall, two twin beds against the solid wall, dining between the two, and seating at the bay window. The bathroom is through the passage, in the main house, and the studio has its own front door.
